"HISTORICAL PLACES"

Hi guys,
We're going to give you all the information we've picked up about "HISTORICAL PLACES".
The Castle: It was commissioned to be built by William Rufus in 1067 and it was finished in 1120. Nowadays you can find different exhibitions, and Art Gallery there...
The Norwich Protestant Cathedral: there you can see very beautiful Cloisters and if you look up at the roof you will find eight green men sculptures representing Fertility.
There are 13 different churches in Norwich.
The oldest street is Elm Street. It's a narrow street that contains antiques and old shops. It has an amazing road made of stones called "Cobbles".
If you want to see an open air play go to Whiffler Theatre.
In Riverside Walk there're wooden blocks covered by metal that are used to remember the people who lived there 200 years ago. It's called "Quiet Street".
If you want to have a pint in probably the oldest pub in Norwich, go to Adam and Eve.
An interesting fact about Norwich is that the houses used to belong to the different churches depending on where they were situated.
By the river, the houses on the right side are newer than the ones on the left.
The Country and Eastern building was a skating rink and now you can buy antique stuff there.
In Norwich you can find a lot of building made of flint which is a black shiny stone.
And the last thing but not the least that we would like to mention is the "Royal Arcade", which is a beautiful corridor full of shops, that used to be a horse stable and was built in the 1800s. Gentlemen passed through it when they went back home after spending the day in the Inns.
